The supermarket shot was being studied intense
The german master photographer Andreas Gurskey had a exhibition at the Danish Modern Art Museum; Louisiana. So having a few days in Copenhagen we drove out to the beautiful museum, even the drive out there by the danish coast is a must if you haven’t been.
I must admit I first came across his existence a few month back when he had sold his image of the Rhine II for $4.3m/£2.7 million…and fell in love in his simplicity and eye for whats around us. He catches everyday surroundings and creates real unique art pisces, before anyone else gets the ideas.

Andreas Gurskey at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

F1 Boxenstopp I - sharp and filled with details. Took him six months to edit it

Simple, strong lines in B&W - beautiful and timeless on a wall (behind is the insides of a factory)

The surroundings of Louisiana are breathtaking and having lunch outside watching the sea is always a treat
If you are a photo freak like me you will enjoy this show plus the museum is situated at a very breathtaking part of Denmark, just by the sea and about 30 min drive from Copenhagen.
Links to his work: MoMa, Artnet, another blog and Why is Andreas Gurskey’s Rhine II the most expensive photograph?
Have a great day.
Cheers,
Maria-Louisa
